Foteviken Museum Viking Town offers associations, organizations and groups an exciting and different environment, where you are sure to find a close encounter with history.
Our Viking Town is Scandinavia’s only reconstructed Viking Town. Your guide will tell you about the Viking Town and the exciting Viking history that took place for approximately 900 years ago.
One of the largest battles took place at Foteviken in the year of the Lord 1134 AD. We meet city residents in various reconstructed house, visiting the Norse gods sacrificial site and visit to various handicrafts homes.
The price for a guider tour during opening hours is 140 SEK per person for groups of at least 20 people. Outside opening hours, we take an extra fee of 800 SEK per group with a maximum of 50 people.
The tour of the Viking Town lasts for about 45 minutes.
We also have a small exhibition that focuses on maritime archeology, with the theme “From the middle age to the viking age”.
In the Viking town’s shop & restaurant, you can have lunch, tea, coffee and cookies. For groups of over ten people lunch must be ordered in advance.
You can pre-order the daily lunch or the chef’s “daily special” lunch.
Payment by cash or billing.
Free of charge cancellation must be made no later than 14 days before the activity date.
